The BeckRidge Chorale was founded in 1973 as the Plymouth Community Chorus. Since 1978, the organization has grown from 26 singers to nearly 120 dedicated members, changing its name in 2006 to the BeckRidge Chorale in order to recognize the organization's regional outreach. Today, the BeckRidge Chorale consists of three ensembles, The BeckRidge Chorale, Village Voices, and Cherry Hill Singers.
The BeckRidge Chorale is an adult choral ensemble with members drawn from southeastern lower Michigan. Village Voices is a select ensemble of 20 members drawn from the BeckRidge Chorale. And Cherry Hill Singers, our newest ensemble, is a non-auditioned choir that welcomes anyone 16 years of age or older.
Each group presents two main concerts a year. An award-winning chorale, we have performed at prestigious festivals, with local symphonies, and, by invitation, at Washington’s National Cathedral. Our community service concerts benefit local and national causes.
